Michelle Johnson is the Chief Risk Officer for Byline Bank, with responsibilities for Compliance and Risk Management.

Michelle joined the Byline Bank team in 2015 as the Director of Operational Risk Management and was promoted to Deputy Chief Risk Officer in 2018. She has spent the majority of her career in financial services, holding numerous roles that include enterprise risk, information security, and mergers and acquisitions. She also served for 10 years with the Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer and completed tours to both Iraq and Afghanistan. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois State University and a Master of Science from Norwich University, and she is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP).
