Our Time at the Taste of Clark Street
On Sunday, September 22, food-and-community loving branch Byliners got a chance to celebrate two of their favorite things. We were honored to join with Chicagoland local business owners and civic leaders, and to add to the fun and festivities, in our capacity as a presenting sponsor at the annual Taste of Clark Street in Chicago’s Rogers Park.
The event, which delivered an afternoon of music, crafts, food, beer and wine tastings from more than 10 local restaurants to attendees, was a food and drink “crawl” from Devon to Touhy. Guests got their culinary passports stamped at numerous stops along the route, which kicked off from the Hub at Morse and Clark. From here, our intrepid attendees proceeded either by foot or pedi-cab, striving to hit each and every location over the course of the afternoon.
Taste of Clark Street has become a key event in Roger Park’s autumn calendar and is always a great calling card for the Rogers Park Business Alliance (RPBA), who conceived the idea and continue to nurture it every year. The RPBA has served its diverse and vibrant North Chicago neighborhood for over 25 years and its volunteer Board of Directors, which is composed of local business owners, residents and other stakeholders, remains a tireless cheerleader for the area and its many locally owned businesses.
At Byline, we’re big fans of partnerships and events like the Taste of Clark Street. We believe that we are not only stronger when we serve together—we’re better, too. We pride ourselves on being good neighbors as well as a good bank, and we’re honored to do our part to help our neighborhoods shine.
Byline has been proud to be a trusted partner in the Chicagoland communities that we’ve called home for over 100 years. We are honored to serve in the neighborhoods where our patrons also live, work and play right alongside us. We know that it’s in all our best interests to keep our unique and varied communities alive and well—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re just where we want to be.
