Want to Touch a Truck? We Can Make That Happen…and We Did.

On July 26, Byline was proud to be a part of a true local event as a sponsor of Palos Hills Park District’s Touch a Truck Event. This free event, which was open to all, included opportunities for interested residents (and a TON of fascinated kids!) to “get physical” with the giants of the road.

On show (and available for “inspection,” sitting in, and generally interacting with, were a police car, school bus, garbage truck and fire vehicles. This event was a great way for the Park District to familiarize its local families with the amenities the City offers. For little ones, it was an ideal introduction to what can seem like intimidating machines (not to mention the uniformed personnel who operate them)!

At Byline, we especially love to embed ourselves in events like this one, where we can show our community just how appreciative we are to be a part of the place where we all live, work and play. On that July morning, our Hickory Hills branch Byliners were kept busy passing out popsicles (inspired choice, guys—never a hard sell on a warm summer’s day!) and information about who we are and how we, too, could be a part of their lives…just like the trucks they were interacting with.

Byline has been a proud part of Chicagoland for over 100 years, and we take our responsibility to our neighborhoods very seriously. It’s an honor to be a trusted bank where we live and work, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the people who keep each of our diverse communities strong and vibrant. We’re just where we want to be.
