“This pandemic has impacted so many of our customers, especially our small businesses and independently owned restaurants,” said Susie Goldschmidt, Oak Park and River Forest Market President for Byline Bank. “These businesses play such an important role in the OPRF community, and we hope this simple act can help out during these winter months.”
Byline is privileged to be a part of the OPRF community and is proud to have contributed more than $90,000 in sponsorships and support to the area this year, alone. Also, earlier this year, Byline was able to provide $12.8 million in financing for affordable housing initiatives in the Oak Park and Austin areas, and was further able to provide $14.8 million* in Paycheck Protection Program loans to the OPRF community, during a critical time for many businesses, struggling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s how we help Oak Park Write Its Story.

In The Community
Betty White was a legendary actress, an animal advocate and lover, and an Oak Park native. In her honor, Byline Bank and the Animal Care League accepted the #BettyWhiteChallenge to fundraise for adoptable animals. Held in coordination with the Village of Oak Park’s Betty White Centennial Celebration at Classic Cinemas Lake Theater, the January 15 event raised money to help place adoptable animals in the loving care of their forever families.
Thank you to our Byline community for joining us to celebrate Betty in a way befitting to her. And thank you for being a friend!
In The Community
Food insecurity impacts communities across the country, especially at this time of year. Oak Park Community Fridge is a sharing initiative aiming to reduce food insecurity and food waste, while building a stronger community. By providing public refrigerators throughout Oak Park, food (and ideas) are shared at a village level.
When we say Byline is a local bank invested in the community, we mean it. For Giving Tuesday, we’re supporting Oak Park Community Fridge with $5,000 this holiday season. We share their belief that as people, we are truly stronger together, and that when we come together, great things happen.
That’s Banking Done Right. That’s Byline.
