Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest Personal Banking Sponsorship

After 10 years of serving Chicago’s underserved communities, Rebuilding Exchange celebrated at their annual House Party on June 14. A festive gathering with a delicious array of food truck offerings, free beer and cocktails, games, a raffle and, of course, cake and ice cream, Byline and Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest were happy to support this momentous occasion.

Rebuilding Exchange, a nonprofit social enterprise, repurposes building materials and provides job training for people with barriers to employment. Their employment training program provides opportunities to earn transferable skills and certifications through on-the-job training and a path to long-term employment.

With a 25,000 square foot retail warehouse, Rebuilding Exchange offers the public affordable building materials, hosts educational workshops on living sustainably and teaches Chicagoans how to use reclaimed materials.

A trusted partner in the Chicagoland neighborhoods that we have called home for more than 100 years, Byline takes our commitment to the communities where we live and work, and to those organizations who uplift them, seriously. We support and applaud the vital role Rebuilding Exchange plays in Chicago and congratulate them on their ten years of service.

Here’s to another decade of doing well and doing good!

When we work together to support our diverse local communities, we show our neighbors what we know to be true—we love this town.
